Coming up in roughly 20 minutes, the Gators will be holding another open portion of today’s practice. Follow along for observations and video of today’s session.

Jonathan Odom switched back into his black jersey for tight end blocking drills

Also in a black non-contact jersey was OL David Conner. He was riding a bike off to the side.

Watson and Sapp were working on a sled off to the side.

Odom was in his regular jersey for pass-catching, but put the black jersey on for blocking.

I did not see Dakota Mitchell on the sideline (spent most of the time watching the offense).

Observations: Boy was today a hot one as it is about 92 degrees outside, and it showed mainly in the receivers and offensive line.

A few drops (more so than I’ve seen this fall) by the receivers. On the offensive line, Darnell Stapleton was heard getting onto Jordan Herman and Ethan White for taking their helmets off while not participating in the drill.

As for who had a good day, Richardson and Miller III looked poised with their throws once again.

Ricky Pearsall and Trent Whittemore looked good as well, with Whittemore making a nice one-handed catch on the sideline.

Kingsley Eguakun had a good rep in a center blocking drill.

Jonathan Odom being back in a white jersey for catching drills is a positive sign, but take it with a grain of salt has he’s not cleared.

Getting Gouraige back full-time (it looks like) is big, but it’s a bit concerning that when Florida gets two back, they lose three (Watson, Conner and Sapp), but I’ll continue to keep an eye on those three the rest of the week.

Also should mention, AD Scott Stricklin was in attendance, standing from a balcony on the new Heavener Football Training Center.

Florida is getting ready to begin the move-in process shortly.

Starter: Eguakun
2nd string: Jake Slaughter
3rd string: Riley Simonds

No surprises there. I talked with Slaugher’s OL coach for his Redshirt Report and was told Slaughter was working with the second team.

Looking back at some of the clips, it is clear that RB Trevor Etienne was not at practice today.

Lorenzo Lingard, Montrell Johnson and Nay’Quan Wright took reps with Miller III and Richardson.
