Said that it’s an opportunity to showcase their fanbase and campus with College Gameday being there.

On the preparation with Saturday’s game being on College Gameday: Said that it isn’t too much different, but a few more media interviews with himself and certain players. Outside of that, the early-week routine has been the same.
Said it’s important that they finish the week’s routine strong, and then that the players enjoy the spotlight.

Heupel said that last year’s loss to Florida was the spark that turned the team around and caused guys to buy into his vision.

On retaining his staff from last season: Said that the goal as a head coach is to set up your assistants for success, i.e., don’t have them make lateral moves.

On if Gameday came to Oklahoma while he was their QB: Said they came to Oklahoma at least twice during his final season.
Said that he didn’t really feel it until the Friday before the game because the energy around campus is heightened with all the festivities.
Said that he told his players to enjoy the moments from this week and said that he’s pleased with his team’s focus this week for the task at hand.
