Jerry Stackhouse is here first. Said today’s game was some of the best offensive output by two teams he’s seen.

Gave Florida credit for first-half paint points, but they were able to cut that down.

On their 3-point shooting: “I though we just shared the ball.” Said that they were able to make plays down the stretch.

On Robbins’ performance: “Liam’s been banged up for us for a little bit.”

Said that he’s finally healthy and extremely confident. Took on facing Castleton, who Stackhouse said is one of the best bigs in the SEC, as a challenge.

“Castleton is a heck of a player.”

On Vanderbilt’s chances for the tournament: Stackhouse explains that two quad-one wins + their strength of schedule should help their chances.

On Kowacie Reeves: “We didn’t look at what he’s done the last few games, we looked at what he can do.”

Reeves and Castleton up next.

Castleton on Vanderbilt’s early shooting: “They came out aggressive. We came out stagnant. They were able to hit open threes.”

On Liam Robbins: Castleton said it came down to them putting him in good spots, but he ultimately made shots.

Castleton on the loss: “It was one we needed to win. We didn’t do the little things we needed to do.”

Said it came down to defending the 3 and making shots

Reeves: “Sometimes you have to tip your hat. They were making some tough shots.”

Reeves said that it was a mix of poor defending and them making tough shots. Pointed out that Robbins was hot no matter what they threw at him.

On Free throws: “I missed 4, Will missed 2, Riley missed 2. That’s 8 easy points.”

Said that it ultimately came down to defense, but they need to shoot better.

On his dunk, Reeves says he unsure what it does for him.

“Obviously disappointed.”

Said that around the Tennessee game, they were doing good about controlling the controllables. Said they didn’t do that today.

“We were really bad about doing things important to our program.”

Said he won’t shame his players for missed FTs or 3PTs (“They were trying to make shots”). However, he was extremely disappointed in 3PT defending.

Golden said he can live with how a player (like Robbins) plays in the paint, but he cannot accept how they struggled to defend shots from beyond the arc.

Golden said that they had a great shoot around earlier and he thought the team was locked in: “Sometimes it doesn’t go your way. I thought we looked fatigued, both mentally and physically.”

Said that their offense wasn’t the big issue until late in the game. Said defense wasn’t good throughout the game: “We’ve been good when we guard. We we don’t do that, we have to rely on things we aren’t consistent at.”

“Everything we want to do is still in front of us.”

Said the loss hurts them tremendously, and they need to regroup for this last bunch of games.

On 3PT shooting: “In the flow of the game, I thought we took good shots.”

Said that down the stretch they began to take too many.
