Burney describes profile tackling has “like 10 and 2 on a clock and they’re in front of you.”

    Zanders is here.

On the last two years with the position changes: “I was kinda nervous because I gained so much weight to play D-end.”

Zanders arrived to UF as a tight end, moved to DE as a sophomore and moved back to tight end in the spring due to injury issues in the room.

Said Napier could tell Zanders used to play TE because of the way he moves.

On Coach Peagler: “He’s a funny dude.”

Said he can make people laugh and have fun while being serious and getting the job done.

On graduating: “It’s a great accomplishment. First person in my family to graduate.”

On who gives issues for the offense on defensive: Amari Burney and Gervon Dexter Sr. stand out. Said the entire D-line stands out as a group.

On last year’s defensive issues: “It wasn’t inconsistency. It was discipline.”

Said Napier has made notes of last year’s penalties and talked with the team about what ones were discipline issues and whatnot.

Said he counted each penalty in each game and highlighted which ones were because of discipline issues.

“It was embarrassing to look it.”

On Amari Burney: Said he’s extremely helpful with everything. When Zanders was at DE, Burney would help with alignment and assignments. Now, he said Burney will coach guys from the sideline as well.

On the TE system under Napier: “We do a lot of 12 personnel. When you think we’re blocking, we’re passing. When you think we’re passing, we’re blocking. He likes to mix it up.”
