Ian Scott, who won an SEC title in 2000 and was 2nd Team All-SEC in 2001 and 2002, was hired by Gainesville High School as the varsity head football coach. Scott played football and basketball at GHS, winning a state title in basketball in 1999. He was also valedictorian.
