Hey, man, if those floaters are gonna go in for Jason — float away. Don’t love them though. He’s the biggest guy on the court. I’d love to see some bumping down low.

Riley fouled him there. Correct call. Refs have been pretty damn good so far tonight. Now, calls haven’t been going the Gators’ way; but, I’m not sure they should be. Riley didn’t get fouled on the other end a few minutes ago either when Golden was irate nothing was called.

I’m not sure how Florida stops Kentucky defensively. They’re just more active on both ends of the floor right now. Tshiebwe looks incredibly comfortable with Jitoboh and Szymczyk guarding him, and Florida can’t really get off any easy shots on the other end.
Without Castleton, they need Lofton to really, really, really run the offense. And to be honest, I’m not quite sure he can against this Wildcats defense.

Florida’s been great in transition these last few minutes. They’ve been active defensively and are using transition for offense because they realized pretty quickly they weren’t gonna get much in the halfcourt without Colin. New gameplan = working.

Riley Kugel is hyped up. Knocks down the 3, hypes the crowd and gets all the way down defensively on the ball handler. Stinks that the sequence was followed by a jump ball and timeout — kind of killed that momentum — but, the energy is there nonetheless. A score and a stop in these last 40 seconds would be HUGE for this team’s confidence going into the half.

Let’s see how quickly, if at all, the Gators are able to get momentum back. Because I think it’s clear that for them to have a chance, considering they can’t stop Kentucky’s half-court offense, they’re gonna need to get out on the fast break early and often here in the second half.

The fact that Niels lane is still in and has been for this long tells you a lot about Golden’s trust in his guys — even those who don’t get consistent minutes.
If you’re playing well, any given day or night, he’ll roll with ya.

Florida went on a 9-0 run to cut Kentucky’s lead to two with under a minute but couldn’t finish it out. They fought to the end though. They deserve credit for that.
