Napier said that they have a lot of respect for EWU due to their history of success at the FCS level

With the Hurricane, Napier said they adjusted the schedule so the team and staff can go home earlier to prepare

On Justin Shorter: Said he’s a really good practice player and he’s developed nicely. Gave a lot of credit to Keary Colbert for developing him.

“Good to see Justin Shorter have success.”

On Diwun Black not seeing the field on defense: “We don’t just give those opportunities away.”

Said it’s about showing consistency throughout practice and it’s up to him about his work ethic and preparing.

On playing on Sunday: said the focus is on preparing for the storm and staying safe. Once the storm passes, they’ll focus on what gameday looks like.

On practicing: said the Condron Facility gives them to the opportunity to practice inside while the weather is bad before the storm arrives.

He added that there’s about 15 players whose families could be majorly affected by the storm, and the program is looking to get in a position to help them if needed.

Napier said he’ll give an injury report, mainly about Jack Miller III and Michael Tarquin after tonight’s practice.
