          Napier is here.

“The big thing for our team is we’re very much a work in progress.”

Napier said he really likes the group as far as rising to adversity and sticking together, but they clearly need in improve in execution.

On the tight ends: “Very thankful for the group we have, Dante Zanders in particular.”

Adds that Zanders’ transition back to TE is an adjustment as well as Zipperer’s inexperience. Added that they played better against USF than the last two, and that he wants to get them more involved in the passing game as they get more experience.

Florida is tied for fewest penalty yards per game in the SEC, but Napier said that he still believes they have committed too many, mainly on special teams.

On the QBs behind Richardson: “I thought Jalen Kitna had his best week last week.”

Said Jalen is the team’s stand alone QB2.

Jack Miller III’s return is TBD based on his progress this week and his comfort level.

On playing against Hendon Hooker: Said the Vols have a great system that sets him up for success.

The reporter who asked the question pointed out that Hooker’s INT total is two in his career:

“I think he’s got three interceptions in his career actually.”

On experience in a QB: Napier said it’s just repetition. Although Richardson has been at UF longer than Hooker has been at UT, Hooker started last season and is in his second season in their system, while this is Richardson’s first season as the full-time starter and first season in a new system.

“Football is a developmental game, and you do that in the practice field.”

On playing in Neyland Stadium: “I think it’s one of the great things about the SEC is the venues.”

Said that the passion, history and tradition of schools and fans make the SEC a special place, and Tennessee is a perfect example.

On what he knows about the rivalry between both teams: “My family on my dad’s side were big Tennessee fans and still are.”

Said that growing up, he has family that lived in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama, and with coaching at Alabama, he complete understands and respects the rivalry.

Napier is done. Next up: Napier and players media availability tonight at 6:30 p.m.
