On fixing the third down defense: “There’s no magic pill or secret potion here.”

Said that it isn’t one specific player or one specific issue. They can’t look at each play and find one specific issue.

On Patrick Toney: Said that despite what people may think, there’s no one who cares more than the staff. He added that Toney is doing what he can to replicate the improvement he made to Louisiana’s defense.

On Lorenzo Lingard: Earned the opportunity for carries due to effort in practice, especially with his attentiveness during walk-throughs and film sessions.

On practices during the bye week: Said there’s a fine line between pushing the team and taking the week off. Said it’s about finding a rhythm during the bye week.

Team practiced yesterday, will practice today, no practice Thursday, positional session Friday morning, no practice Saturday, lift and quick session on Sunday.

On O’Cyrus Torrence: Available for practice in a limited capacity and continues to improve.

On Joshua Braun transferring: Said it had a lot to do with big-picture stuff for him (marriage, degree and role on team). Added that his decision being mid-season was interesting, but they respect his decision and will help him with anything he needs.

On Nay’Quan Wright: He’s healthy (did not play a single down against LSU)

Back to quality control: It’s about finding the root issues to their issues and finding any issues within the positives.
