      On Ricky Pearsall playing today: Said he passed the final test on Friday and was pleased with how he played.

      “He changed the game today.”

      On Rashad Torrence not playing: Said he made progress in recovery this week, but the pain tolerance was too much to handle and they weren’t comfortable playing.

      He was pleased with how Kamari Wilson and Donovan McMillon played in his spot

      On the team making fourth quarter comebacks: said he’s most proud of the fight they have in them and is proud of the progress as people they have made throughout the season.

      “I would hope those are trademarks of Gator football.”

      On being a part of the UF-FSU rivalry:

      “It’s awesome. It’s awesome.”

      Said it’s humbling to be on the sideline.

      On preparing for the game while knowing he won’t play in the first half.

      Said it was tough but it was more about prepping the younger guys. Added that it was tough to sit and watch but he was proud of Scooby Williams, Shemar James and Derek Wingo

      On Jordan Travis: described him as slippery, and he certainly changed the game

      On Pearsall’s first TD: “Originally, Ricky wasn’t even supposed to be the one out there to run that route.”

      Said that FSU took the inside leverage away.

      On what his future is: “Get back to the drawing board and figure out how to fix the 9-for-27.”

      On what’s changed about this team: Said the team was very two-sided, but the staff came in and fixed everything. The team has grown this season

      Said Napier attributed that due to injuries, too.

      On the No-call facemask on the final play: didn’t realize it was a facemask. Just wanted to give his receivers a chance.

      On the imprint Napier has made on the team: “just how much we mean to each other.”

      Said that him and the staff helped them become more of a family. Added that without that, they wouldn’t have been able to keep fighting in games.
