Not sure why people are afraid of FSU next season.

If Napier had been 8-4 and 9-3 in his first two seasons there would be optimism and not doom and gloom. With FSUs schedule, 8-4 and 9-3 would have been no problem and we would have looked impressive in some of those games. We'll see how Norvell does but so far I think he's been the...

    The window is closed

We also didn't lose much. I think that's a good sign.

2 foreign OL signees in one class

Agreed. Despite seeming lack of OL talent we have been able to run the ball on the best teams in the country. We need to get better on pass pro and we need some help from RBs in that department. I'm hoping these new RBs are going to be good at pass pro. I think the long passes will come...

SEC/Big10 formulating plan to pay student-athletes

Amateurism is a thing of the past already for the big leagues of college sports. I'm guessing the amateur model will live on in smaller leagues that don't generate enough revenue to pay players. I'm pretty sure we are also headed to place were players are not students unless they choose to...

Not sure why people are afraid of FSU next season.

I'm not terribly worried. It all depends on QB play. If DJ U plays as well as Jordan Travis then there might be some concern, and you would have to give Norvell credit for that. But, I have my doubts about that. And, they didn't exactly dominate us in either of the last two years. Had we...

What are the positions you feel best and worst about

I feel good about the coaching changes on defense in secondary and DL. We should be better. I think we will score some points but I'm concerned about OL and WR. We've had good offense with bad OL and WR under Napier but I think that has to improve given the teams we have to play this year.

Who is the next to commit

I kind of think our 2025 class recruiting is going to depends a lot on what happens on the field this season. If we win some games, makes some noise and Napier gets off the hot seat then we will gain a lot of momentum.

As soon as Georgia called I knew too!

Napier said he's going to keep calling plays

I don't know that anyone could have called a better offense last year. We scored a ton of points and chewed up a bunch of ground despite not being able to pass block and a serious lack of receiving threats. The defense let us down big time at Missouri, vs. Arkansas, LSU and Kentucky. That's...

Impact Analysis: Linebacker enters Transfer Portal – again

Sounds like this team is more connected than Napier's first two teams and Nunnery just wasn't a fit, too selfish. From the outside looking in, it seems like maybe this was a Brenton Cox type of situation but with a less talented player.

    Nobody wants Thia

Agreed. But it's less about education than it ever has been. I would not be surprised that in the not too distant future players are not even students at all. There probably won't be eligibility limits either.

This is why I was talking about our reporters

I'm ok with reporting negative news but sometimes some people (many on these boards) go out of the their way to bash coach Napier and the Gators. It's not helping, that's for sure. This team needs belief and a little bit of good fortune could go a long way in that regard. We haven't had...

    Kugel headed to Kansas

I think he will be a star at Kansas. He needed a change of scenery.

    Damn...

Damn is right. Had Kansas lost that game (and they almost did) that would have been a huge play. That kid plays for Samford? Sign him up! Pretty impressive to me that both Bill Self and Tom Izzo took pretty bad teams to the tournament and still won. I would love the beat Michigan State...

    Is the ACC doomed...

I think you are right about the players getting paid and it probably will have to be collectively bargained. But, I think this will only apply to top division of college football. I think the upper division (currently called the SEC and Big Ten) will have professional players with contracts...

    Is the ACC doomed...

I think the answer is yes, ACC football is doomed. FSU, Clemson, Miami and UNC will probably land in whatever the upper division on college football becomes but the rest will be minor leaguers like Oregon State and Washington State. It might take more than 2 years though. If they get the...

More radio dunking on coach Napier

That Arkansas game was among the most disappointing Gators loses of my long lifetime... We needed that game so badly and just couldn't get that QB on the ground. He had a career game and it came vs. the Gators. Seems like that happens too often lately... The Vandy loss last year was...

Anonymous Player Q&A II: Thoughts on the state of Florida football

There are some common themes in these reports (which I love) and one of them is lack of confidence in the coaching, including S&C. I'm not even sure it's worse coaching but clearly their are many players who don't trust the coaching staff on game day. I don't even put this on Napier though...

HBC isn’t happy with coach Napier

Lots of good coaches have failed at UF. It's too easy to just blame the coach because the record is bad or you're not happy with the results. It's pretty clear to me that the issues with Florida football that need to be addressed are above the coach and above the AD. The University of Florida...

    UF falls in updated Bracketology

That's a tough draw. Michigan State is good in March regardless what happened in the regular season. That's a pick'em. Marquette is really good. We will be solid underdogs.
