These are the stories I looked forward to every year. They are better when we are winning.

Isn't this the 2nd or 3rd player who played for Napier who doesn't think that he will get it figured out and be a good coach here.

They are around him everyday. They know more than we do.

I'm beginning to realize that the old saying that to correct yourself, you first have to admit to yourself that you have a problem is true with Napier. I have said this on here before, that Napier has to have a winning record next year regardless on how tough the schedule is. The Administration and the UAA have given him every single thing he has asked for and it is totally unacceptable for any coach in any sport at the University of Florida to have 3 straight losing seasons.

The least surprising thing about any of this is that offensive linemen don't like Sale.

That's why we can't recruit 5 stars.

Who wants to play for coaches like him and Hevesy.

best part of this site is those types of stories you can’t get anywhere else. The info wasn’t as positive as I would have liked but that’s what happens when someone tells you the truth. Don’t always like it.

I see other fans say it and now you have this player saying it and I agree with them ------ we should have kept Mullen.

He could recruit transfers better than high school and he was a better game coach.

He would have us in the playoffs.

The article on this site from a few years ago really highlighted the disfunction under the Mullen regime and his inflexibility. Not sure Mullen could recover from the spiral he was on. Much better game day coach though.

I’ve been mulling this article over. I could be way off base here, only Mark knows. But, this guy sounds pretty salty on Napier. Obviously he was a Mullen guy, and based off some of his comments I’m guessing he could have been one of the guys who was processed…or had a friend or two who were. I love these articles and always look forward to them. But in this case we may need to take this players comments with a grain of salt. His loyalty obviously lies with Mullen. He may have never truly bought in. I’m sure there’s plenty of truth to his words, but perhaps it’s not as bad as he is making it out to be. Regardless, thank you Mark for your working in providing us with these interviews. Always an intriguing read.

You certainly could be right but I didn’t get that feeling. He seemed to highlight both the good and bad of Napier and Mullen. I’m not sure he said anything that should shock us. Mullen being a better game day coach and having a bit more personality makes sense. Napier having more of a process and being a bit rigid with it is something I’d imagine we all suspected.

Now I was surprised to hear he thought Napier micro managed everyone too much when we’ve struggled with discipline and development at so many positions.

Good point but Umanmielen said the same thing about the strength program.

You almost have to believe anything bad said about Napier, because what has he done that's good so far?

I'm more surprised if a player had a positive experience with him than if they had a bad one.

What worries me about the whole thing is saying receivers don't like our offense.

That is going to make it hard to get players like Smith.
If you are Smith or any receiver you would rather be at OSU than here. You'd rather be at OSU than almost in the other school.

We can't blame our offense for not getting him.

Unless a kid just grew up wanting to be a Gator, most of them want to be around the top tier of programs so they have a chance to win a Championship. People in general want to be associated with winners. Right now we are not winners, and until Napier or someone else turns this around, we are has beens, and as each year goes by, the Tebow era becomes less and less relatable.

You can tell Napier has no personality by his tweets. All he ever does is tweet out the sunglasses no matter if we get a two star walk on or a five star stud.

That is the part that should bother all of us.

If your own players don't believe in you that says something.
