I'd put that 2008 squad up against anybody. Not sure the ranking metrics (maybe getting penalized for losing one game) but I can't image there's that many teams with more talent than us. Some are still playing in the NFL 10 years later at pro bowl levels.

Don't know what metric they used but for sure taking that 08 team over 09 Bama, Clemson, 99 FSU, UGA, 02 Ohio state (they had like 8 close games)

My biggest beef was with the Tee Martin Tennessee team at #35. Any of the Florida teams destroy that team.

They put too much weight on a perfect season. There are 20 Florida teams over the years that would beat that undefeated Boise State team eight out of ten times.

I still believe that 96' team was Florida's best team... maybe the 2001 team is the best one that never won a title.
