A lot of guys haven't played in those big environments when you go on the road in the SEC that's what you deal with. That's what makes the SEC so special.

On the defense's performance: They did a really good job of containing explosive plays outside of the big screen. They ran well to the ball and wrapped up ball carries. Nor did the defense give up a whole lot of yards. "There's a lot that we can build off of there."

The team's response following the loss: "It's about six inches between a pat on the back and a kick in the rear end," Mullen dealing with outside noise. He thinks the players have handled everything well and are looking to improve from last week.

Mullen tries to focus on getting better from one week to the next. Focusing on anything but that can hurt a team's chances.

The biggest challenges of rebuilding: The depth and talent in the league. Wherever you go you have to build a foundation. Step 1 is learning how to compete then winning then learning how to compete for a title. Competing for a conference title goes hand-in-hand with competing for national titles.

Mullen said he loves the attitude of his players. They have strong leadership and you can see guys' attitudes even with those pieces missing. You see players step up trying to get everyone to improve.

Lea's proud of his team's resilience against UConn. They gave up an 11-point lead and won it on a last-second field goal. They have a challenge ahead hitting the road for the first time.

Lea on Florida's offense: Physical up front, run the QB which makes you defend everyone and a creative design. They'll spread you out, they'll use the QB and play physical. The starting point is having proper alignment and closing space out on the perimeter.

On teams with first-year coaches having a lot of fight: It's representative of focus within the environment. They made a point to isolate their competitive nature each snap. The focus in practice is being prideful in their effort and sometimes they haven't seen it in some games. A new coach is trying to establish a culture and environment.

The effect of winning when you don't play your best: "We enjoy the feeling of a good result. It's a reward for effort." He said it's a young team and program still learning how to win. Having an 11-point lead erased and having confidence in the offense to execute the 2-minute drill for the win is a confidence builder.

Lea said the team's defense has struggled this season and played inconsistent. Run defense is a point of concern facing Florida this week. They have to win at the line of scrimmage and fill gaps behind it. They have to anticipate and attack to collapse space around the football.
