Everybody's who is ready to play gets to run out there and play. That's Dan Mullen's vision of building depth in the team and allows guys to have passion in their preparation.

McGee said he'll be in the press box. He's been a playcaller so he knows how important the job is to be the guy in the pressbox. He has an understanding and appreciation for that role. His job is to assist the head coach, that's why they're called the "assistant coach."

McGee also mentioned how impressed he's been by the four quarterbacks in terms of how they prepare and the commitment they have to game. They come in, take notes and are locked in.

McGee on how the reps are split up: Jones has a majority of reps with the ones, him and Richardson both get a healthy of reps with the ones but most of Jones's are with the ones and Richardson's are with the twos. Mullen expects them to get the rep count right.

McGee on Richardson being the hometown kid: He's grown up around Gainesville and the stadium. He takes a lot of pride in it. He always tells stories of how it was growing up as a Gator fan. Your family and friends get to watch you. But there's plenty of distractions that come with it too.

He expects not much difference with the offense when Richardson is on the field compared to when Jones is on the field because he has the same tools.

McGee mentions how Jones's footwork, understanding of the passing game, knowing what kind of balls to throw, pre-snap reads and post-snap decisions are areas where he's seen the quarterback grow/improve the most.

McGee thinks Emory Jones can be one of those guys we're reading and talking about at the end of the season. He still has to go out and do it but if he can continue to prepare like he has he can lead the Gators. They have high expectations as always.

When Whittemore first got to UF, it's the realization you're a Gator but then coming to the realization that it's just football. You have to come in and play while still knowing it's a blessing to have the opportunity.

He thinks the change to Emory Jones and Richardson is an adjustment but you have to make it especially when it comes to scramble drills. It's great to see two guys who are great athletes and completely capable. There's been teams where they no QBs and they have multiple.

It was incredible for Whittemore coming out of the tunnel for the first time. Just an experience. The first couple of times it juices you up but eventually you have to let the adrenaline fuel you and have to come back down to Earth. Thinking back on it still gives him chills.

Whittemore said his rib and lung injuries were the most painful he's had and it still bothered him throughout the year. Everything was rough the first couple weeks. The little things like hitting the ground or ribs were tough to ignore. Luckily this summer he got back to feeling like himself.

He likes playing in the slot and he tries to take from what the guys who came before him did but still putting his own flavor on it. He thinks him, Rick Wells, Henderson and a slew of other guys can operate in that position.

The opportunity to stay close to home is a blessing not just because his family can come to games. He loves being a role model to the younger generation in the community. He just wants to have an impact on people because growing he didn't feel like he had much contact with the people he looked up to.

On how McGee's helped him: He's been a mentor. He's an emotional guy and it affects him rep to rep. But McGee's done a good job of helping leave bad plays in the past and play full speed the next one.
