Brewster says he's thrilled to be at UF. His decision all started with his admiration for Dan Mullen and how he coaches and his work ethic. "I haven't been around a guy that truly loves the game as much as Dan does." He adds that Mullen is a special guy and is one of the few guys he thinks could call offensive plays, defensive plays and coach special teams. He's always had an affinity for UF, and it didn't take him long to say yes.

He says he loves forming relationships, and that's what makes him a great recruiter. It's all about connecting kids up. He again emphasizes that UF is the only school in the top-10 in football and academics.

He says they're very blessed to have a guy like Kyle Pitts. He loves that he's a tough, hard-nosed, physical guy. He has embraced the mindset that Brewster has brought to the room and has become a three-down player. He says he's had an amazing training camp. If he had one adjective to describe him, it would be tough.

He says Kemore Gamble has "come leaps and bounds." He says Jonathan Odom is going to "be a heck of a player." They've all embraced the mentality to focus on the small details. He says you'd be hard-pressed to find a better TE room in the country.

He says the pandemic has made recruiting harder, but Mullen does a great job of staying ahead of the curve in the evaluations. They're already starting to focus on the 2022 class. He thinks they have a great opportunity by playing this year when others started. "The minute you stop recruiting, you're behind somebody." He adds that that mentality starts at the top with Mullen. He thinks this is a tremendous, experienced staff. It's not hard for them to sell UF. "So many players want to come to Florida; we've got to make sure we're getting the right ones."

"This offense is a dream come true for tight ends" because they like to utilize multiple players at the position. He says Keon Zipperer will play a role in this offense. He's using Pitts as an example for Odom on what to do.

Brewster says everybody looks at Pitts like a bigger wide receiver, so he wanted to see if he could hit somebody in the mouth. His physicality is what has him fired up for this season. They look at George Kittle and Travis Kelce from the NFL and try to grab things to help him all the time. Pitts' goal is to be the best tight end in the country this season.

He jokes that his experience as a cars salesmen was "not for him." He liked coaching in the NFL, but he missed the relationships with the players and the ability to mentor guys that he has in college.

Brewster says they play in the toughest conference in the country, and they're playing 10 games this year. So, if they're able to win the national championship, they should be darn proud of it and they should be viewed as legitimate champions despite the weirdness of this season.

He says the chemistry of the staff is very important, and he was fortunate to have worked with most of the coaches at UF before. He thinks Todd Grantham is the best DC in the country. "He can make your life miserable." They all enjoy each other's company, and they understand that they better be close because they will face adversity.

He says he looks for length in tight ends, and he has to be an athlete. He loves guys who have trained as receivers and know how to high point balls. He then imposes his mentality on them to make them physical blockers. "A soft guy is going to have problems with me."
