They haven't told us yet. I would assume Trask would be one of them.

Johnson says Kyle Trask has done a tremendous job of taking it to the next level with his leadership and his body. H's shed 10-15 pounds and is leaner. Both he and Emory Jones stayed "very engaged" through Zoom over the summer.

He says Trask is able to be more sudden and show more escapability in the pocket. He gained 10-15 pounds after his foot injury and is back down to where he started with this staff. He's always been a willing runner; it's just a matter of knowing when to run and when to hang in the pocket. He was very efficient in the scrimmage.

He says Jones "is a very special talent," and they can run the complete offense with both guys. He's done a good job of becoming more consistent, which is something Johnson challenged him to do. They always emphasize making the unspectacular plays with both QBs, such as finding the check down or throwing it away. You've got to hold yourself to an extremely high standard every single day.

He says it was really good that they were able to get quality reps for both guys last year. They use it to their advantage by coaching the guy that's on the sideline up and preparing him to go back in.

Johnson says Anthony Richardson "has a ton of God-given ability, and he's a really fast learner." He was concerned that he would miss the reps in the spring, but he's been a great note-taker and listener through Zoom meetings. He's got to continue to develop, but he's liked what he's seen so far.

He says they get very limited time with the QBs, and they need a lot of time to develop properly, so the QBs working with private trainers is something they encourage.

He says the inexperienced receivers helped the QBs up their game by forcing them to elevate the play of everybody around them.

He says Jones "has a ton of juice in his arm." It all comes down to him putting it all together. Him being a dual-threat gives them some "premium looks" to throw the ball in games. "I can tell you with all certainty that we're going to need everybody in the quarterback room to get to where need to be offensively."

Johnson says having depth in a year like this is a huge advantage. They have confidence in multiple guys throughout the entire offense.

Of Trask being ranked 48th by Pro Football Focus and their criticism of him being extremely lucky last year, he says he made some big-time throws last year, and he does a great job of putting them into the right plays. "I can't think of 48 guys I'd rather have than him."

He says the playbook is very personnel-driven, and that's something Mullen does a great job of. They've got to be able to adapt and do whatever they need to do to win games. They feel comfortable with both Trask and Jones' ability to operate the system as they enter Year 3.

Johnson says nobody ever gets the full playbook open, but they build a game plan on a week-to-week basis to help them win games.

He says Alex Smith spoke to he and Mullen a few days ago, and Smith is somebody that he looks up to because of the adversity he's fought through.

He says Trask has had a bunch of experiences that have shaped him, and he feels confident in who he is and who he stands for. He's not afraid to speak his mind, and he asks lots of questions. "He sets an extremely high standard for himself through his actions and now through his words."

Johnson says he's a believer that balance is abstract. It's more about making the defense defend the width of the field and have to account for all five skill-position players on the field. They've made some strides there.

Trask says it was really huge for him to be a leader this summer. They couldn't be around coaches that much, so he and the other leaders had to make sure they kept their timing down and improved.

He says he worked on accuracy and being sharp with his reads and footwork this offseason.

He says he lost 13 pounds this summer. He felt a little heavy toward the end of last season, and he feels a little quicker on his feet now. He ate the right things and drank a lot of water.

That's all for tonight.
