Two days after Florida offered Lafayette (La.) Christian Academy four-star athlete Ju’Juan Johnson back in late December, he included the Gators in a final four consisting of Colorado, UF, Georgia, and LSU.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder, the No. 195 ranked prospect in the nation according to the On3 Consensus, visited Gainesville over the weekend.

How did the visit go as far as what all did you do?
“Toured the facilities. The facilities are really nice.”

What was the Florida coaches’ message to you?
“They just touched on a few things that were important to me and they just assured me that all those things would be possible here. Things like family, development, and an early opportunity to compete and play. Things like that.”

Being there in Louisana, you know a lot about Corey Raymond from his time at LSU, what is your impression of him?
“Great coach obviously. Since he’s offered we have talked a lot and got to spend some time together one-on-one this weekend. He’s from where I’m from so we can relate to a lot.”

What was the highlight of the day?
“The highlight of the day was pretty much just meeting with the coaches individually.”

Did you get a chance to meet up or interact with any current players? If so, who and what did they say to you?
“They were all talking about Florida being the place for me and wanted to know what I wanted to know to help me make my decision.”

What are your thoughts about Florida after taking this visit?
“Florida is in my opinion definitely a top school. That’s why I put them there [in the top four]. I’m glad I was able to get down here. It helped me to really see for myself. I really enjoyed it!”
