After visiting Florida back in September for the Gators’ season-opening win over Utah Ponte Vedra Beach (Fla.) three-star offensive lineman Jake Guarnera paid close attention to UF for the remainder of the season.

On Saturday, the 6-foot-4, 285-pounder set foot on campus once again.

QUICK Q&A

“My Grandpa and my Uncle.”

How did the visit go as far as what all did you do?
“We started off in the film room with coach Sale and went over run game and pass pro. Then got staff intro and I met with Coach [Billy] Napier. Then we got a campus tour and checked out Hawkins [Center] and we finished with the photo shoot.”

What was the Florida coach’s message to you?
“Coach Napier has a great vision for the future of the program. They have an unbelievable support staff. They see me as an interior lineman that could potentially play center.”

What do you think of the new football facility?
“The new facilities really help UF with recruiting athletes. It definitely makes an impact on a recruit when you see a program dedicated to helping its athletes.”

What was the highlight of the day?
“Spending time with Coach [Rob] Sale and meeting with Coach Napier.”

What are your thoughts about Florida after taking this visit?
“I have a few schools at the top of my list and Florida is definitely up there.”

Guarnera, who also holds offers from the likes of Florida State, Miami, Michigan, and Penn State, is the No. 371 ranked prospect in the nation according to the On3 Consensus.
