Mooresville (N.C.) Lake Norman four-star offensive lineman Ethan Calloway shares his thoughts on the Gators after visiting Florida on Thursday.

The 6-foot-7, 300-pounder already has offers from the likes of Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Penn State, and others.

QUICK Q&A

Who came with you on your visit to Florida and what was it like?
“My parents always travel with me.”

What took place during the visit?
“It was an all day visit on Thursday. They had an itinerary ready so I got to see the campus, the business school, all of the facilities, and got to sit in on team and position meetings.”

What coach or coaches did you speak with the most?
“I spent time with several coaches, but mostly coach [Rob] Sale, Coach [Darnell] Stapleton, and Coach [Billy] Napier. We talked mostly about how I could be utilized. It’s in impressive group, and I could really enjoy being coached by them.”

Florida is unique in that they have two offensive line coaches. What does that mean to a lineman?
“It’s a unique approach, and I got to see how that works.I feel like it gives the players more opportunities for 1-on-1 time with coaches.”

What was the highlight of the visit?
“Talking with Coach Napier.”

What are your thoughts on Florida’s new football facility?
“Very impressive stuff, but I try not to get caught up in the bells and whistles.”

What are your thoughts about Florida after taking this visit?
“We definitely enjoyed it and will likely take another trip back before making any decisions.”

Now that you’ve been to Florida, do you have any other spring visits scheduled?
“Right now we have Georgia, UNC, LSU, Tennessee, and likely a couple of others, but that’s all that’s planned as of now.”

Do you have a return visit to Florida scheduled?
“It’s undetermined.”

It’s still early for you, but do you have any leaders?
“Not at this point.”

Are there a couple of programs that you know will be there until the very end?
“Yes but I’m not at the point of discussing those yet.”

What will be important to you when you make your decision?
“People. I’m looking for the right group to build a second family with. Also looking for coaches that will push me to be as good as I can possibly be. Football will end at some point, so I need to make sure I make the right choice on my education too.”

What is your recruiting timeline like right now?
“We’ll likely cut the list down after spring visits, then start to figure out official visits. I’d like to have a commitment before I play a snap next year.”

Calloway is the No. 188 ranked prospect in the nation according to the On3 Consensus.
