QUICK Q&A
Does it feel a little different when you visit as a commitment rather than a prospect?
“It is a little different but also similar because they still continued to treat me as a priority.”
How is the feeling different?
“I feel like we are a closer family now.”
What was the Florida staff’s message to you now that you are committed?
“The message is that I’m on board now and a part of the family, so we’re ready for December [Early Signing Day].”
What was the highlight of the visit?
“The highlight of the visit was eating lunch with Coach [Jabbar] Juluke.”
What is your relationship with him like?
Very good. We are trying to get another guy [running back]. There’s enough space for all of us to run the ball in a three-back system.”
You’ve received recent offers from Alabama and Georgia. What did it mean to get those offers? Will you visit either over the spring or summer?
“It was an honor to receive offers from them, I’m not sure if I will visit yet.”
Florida was a disappointing 6-7 last season. How do you feel about the 2021 season and what do you think it will take to turn things around?
“It will take everyone buying in, but of course now that we are in the second year 100% of our guys can trust that Coach [Billy] Napier has the right plan for us to succeed.”
Flordia also has commitments from five-star quarterback Derek Lagway and four-star linebacker Myles Graham. What is your relationship like with them?
“Me, DJ, and Myles talk often. We are pretty close, and we all know what our goal is – signing a #1 class.”
Obviously, to get to the top, you need to be surrounded by talent. What other 2024 prospects are you recruiting to Florida? What is your sales pitch to them?
“[Linebacker] Adarius Hayes. Come be a part of the family.”
You’ve been in the new facility a couple of times now. What is the best thing about it?
“The locker room reclining chairs.”
The 5-foot-11, 210-pounder is the No. 257 ranked prospect in the nation according to the On3 Consensus.
