Tampa (Fla.) Catholic four-star athlete Jameer Grimsley is on the verge of releasing a leaderboard, and an offer from Florida and a visit to Gainesville has the Gators firmly in the mix.

You visited Florida a couple of weeks ago what did that visit entail? “I came with my whole family we arrived in the morning, we saw practice took pictures, and met with the coaches”
What was the highlight of the visit? “The highlight of the visit was taking pictures with the family and meeting the coaches.”
What coaches did you speak with? “I spoke the most with Coach [Corey] Raymond and Coach [Billy] Napier. They said that they wanted me there and that I’m a priority for them.”
What are your thoughts on the new football facility? What stood out? “I thought the new facility was really nice. Just the size of it was impressive.”
Did you get a chance to interact with any of the current players while you were there? What did you think of the practice? “The practice was pretty good. I talked to [Ja’Quavion] Fraziars and [Xzavier] Henderson when he was there. They just said that it was a good school and you can’t go wrong with choosing Florida.”
What is your impression of Florida after the visit? “Because they were late to the party on offering me I couldn’t tell if they wanted me or not until the visit. Florida has moved up higher on my list after the visit.”
Do you know of any programs that will get an official visit from you? “Alabama, Penn State, and Michigan are the officials [visits].”
Do you have a leader or leaders at this time? “I will be dropping a top 12 soon.”
When it comes time to make your decision, what will be important to you? The most important factor is the development of me as a player.”
