Anna (Tx.) four-star offensive lineman Peyton Miller committed to Florida at the end of April. This weekend, he returned to campus on his official visit. It was his first time back as an Orange & Blue pledge.
The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder goes in-depth about his two days in Gainesville.

What was the highlight of the visit to UF?
“Just getting to hang out with and getting to know some of the current players was awesome.”
What did the coaches have to say to you?
“Just that they are excited about me coming in and contributing to the offensive line room early and that I’m the perfect kind of player they are wanting. That they feel like this class is going to be special for changing the tide here in Gainesville.”
Who was your player host? What was his message to you? What are some of the things you talked about and did during free time?
“I was with Harrison Moore and Emeka U [Ugorji]. Most of the time. They are both DFW, TX guys, so we have that in common. They talked about how much they love being at Florida and that it’s a special place. Also how much they enjoy playing for Coach Traut [Phil Trautwein], [Buster] Faulkner and [Jon] Sumrall.”
This was your first visit to campus as really being a Gator and part of the team. What was that like? Did it feel different?
“Yes. It’s different knowing this is my next home, so I was a lot more focused on details. At OTA’s I wasn’t just watching, but I felt like I was being coached and needed to learn what they were doing so I could be ready. It was also a lot more relaxed in our meetings with the departments. Everyone just treated me like I was a Gator.”
Three days with Phil Trautwein. What was that like?
“It’s always good. I always learn something new about him and myself. I got to meet his wife, and we got to dive into more detail about me and my development.”
Miller is the No. 130-ranked prospect in the nation according to the Rivals Industry Consensus.
