Florida Gators’ interim head coach Billy Gonzales met with the media on Monday to discuss the loss to Tennessee and the upcoming contest against Florida State.
- Billy Gonzales‘ opening statement: “We did not start well, start fast and finish strong, offensively we were not there.”
- Cormani McClain injury update: “We do not know the status yet, but we have a bunch of guys banged up.”
- On Florida having more injuries than most of the SEC: Gonzales waives off it being due to UF’s strength and conditioning staff, instead placing the blame on the Gators’ physical play. “These are things that you can’t control. It’s just part of the game.”
- Gonzales on Jadan Baugh‘s almost 1,000 yards: “We always praise individual accolades, and he is a talented athlete.” … “We will continue to give Jadan Baugh the ball, he’s doing great.”
- Gonzales on Caleb Banks: “He played well. He was winded and gassed out. He hasn’t played in a while.”
