Florida defensive lineman Caleb Banks, who missed the first two games, wasn’t on the initial Injury Report for the UF-LSU game, indicating that he will play on Saturday.
Freshman receiver Dallas Baker was listed as being OUT.
Billy Napier on DJ Lagway‘s improvement, “In general, just operating, he is in his element out there in practice. He is working his butt off, and he is a loyal guy who wants to come through when it counts.”
Napier on DJ’s first career road start, “I think there are a lot of things, I love the arena and I love going on the road. As a competitor, he knows what he’s getting into. These opportunities are special and once in a lifetime.”
Napier on cleaning up penalties, “We have done much better this week procedurally, the ones I get upset with are decision-making penalties. I’m focused on substitutes and fractions, personal fouls, and false starts are what keep you up at night.”
Napier on Brendan Betts, “It was a rough couple of days for him, and he handled it with some dignity. He did it the right way, apologizing to the team and on social media.”
Napier on Caleb Banks, “He has done well in practice this week, and I have confidence in him coming up towards game day.”
Napier on Jadan Baugh usage during USF, “We need to block him a little better, and he needs to play with discipline and have better footwork. It’s not about the individual; it’s a team game. He is one of our best players and best people.”
