After visiting Florida, Gators commit to see Georgia this weekend

Over the summer, in transferring from Havana (Fla.) Gadsden County to across the state line to attend Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County, Florida defensive tackle commit Jeramiah McCloud moved to a program where he’ll see a step up in competition level, but also, a place where the surrounding population is more friendly to the instate Bulldogs than they are to the rival Gators.

The season is still young, but the 6-foot-3, 290-pounder has already gotten a taste of South Georgia high school football.

“The atmosphere is totally different. Football is taken more seriously up here,” said McCloud. “Like the first game,…
