Over the first three cycles, Florida has been hit-and-miss when it comes to signing players out of the Transfer Portal. The Gators have brought in a handful of immediate starters, but even more players who simply haven’t panned out. There have been a couple of difference makers in O’Cyrus Torrance and Ricky Pearsall, above-average starters such as Graham Mertz and Montrell Johnson, as well as several key contributors, but overall, there haven’t been many ‘wow’ signees.

  1. I can see wanting to add experience at S but why take 3 S who are all in their 6th year?

    They'll take up the snaps in 2024 when we'll be lucky to finish .500 and then in 2025 when we have a chance to be better they'll be out of eligibility.

    How does that make sense?
  2. If we can get one or two starters and one or two other players that can contribute, that's about all we can expect from that class.

    We weren't able to get any of the really good transfers that wanted money.
