Tampa (Fla.) Catholic four-star receiver TJ Moore is nursing a slight Achilles injury, which caused him to sit out Wednesday’s spring practice, but it hasn’t at all hindered him along the recruiting trail.

Multiple programs have sent coaches to see him over the spring evaluation period.

“Georgia, Clemson, Florida, Ohio State, and Tennessee have all been hitting me up a lot,” replied Moore when asked about the programs in touch with him. “I’m messing with a lot of schools. Michigan too. I like a lot of schools.”

Last month the 6-foot-3, 190-pounder told Inside the Gators that two programs, Clemson and Florida, were out in-front for his services.

Now, another SEC power has joined the fray and he has an official visit set to yet another program.

“I’m not going to do any leader edits or anything like that,” said Moore. “Clemson and Florida are still up there and Georgia stands out too. I’m still looking at other schools, but those three are up there.”

Moore was then asked why each of those three was singled out.

Clemson: “I like their offense. The way they would use me fits what I like to do. I have a couple of boys that go to school there and they talk about how nice it is, the community. The education is good and the staff treats you great.”

Florida: “Florida’s the same thing. They have a really good staff, a nice facility and it’s local. That would make it easier for my parents. Coach Billy [Gonzales] is cool. The first time I met him in person is when I went up there for the visit and it was a great experience. He showed me a couple of videos of them doing drills. He talked about his family. Players he coached in the past. DJ Lagway hits me up about every day. He says, ‘You know where home is. I’m ready when you are.'”

Georgia: “I’m starting to look harder at them because of Coach B Mac [Bryan McClendon]. I’m not deciding based on a coach, but he’s a really great guy that I like. And I see the recruiting class they’re putting together. It’s starting to really stack up. They just got the No. 1 quarterback [Dylan Raiola] and I think I would make a good pair with him.”

Moore currently has three official visits set up and said he could see himself taking anywhere from five to seven.

“I’m going to Clemson (6/2) that first weekend and then Florida (6/9 or 6/14) is next before Tennessee (6/23).”

Moore is the No. 148 ranked prospect in the nation according to the On3 Consensus.
