The OT7 7-on-7 tournament being held in Orlando this past weekend ended up being a boon for Florida football recruiting as several out-of-state targets used the trip to central Florida to stop by Gainesville. One such prospect was La Verne (Calif.) Bonita four-star linebacker Noah Mikhail.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder, who has over 30 offers already, shared his thoughts on his visit.

QUICK Q&A

Who came on the visit with you? “My parents were with me, and also with my 7v7 team that was playing in OT7 Orlando.”

What was the visit like as far as what all took place? “It was a quick visit. They had finished up their spring game and so everyone was off for the weekend. Coach [Jay] Bateman had talked with me and I said I’d be in Florida and would like to come by for a visit. It was the team’s day off so I really appreciate him taking the time to come in to meet me and my parents and show us around which was nice of him to do, seems like a family guy.”

What coaches did you speak with? “Coach Bateman was the only one there. He showed us around the new facility and took us to the stadium too. He mostly shared more about Florida, playing in the SEC and how I would fit into their scheme as a linebacker.”

What was the highlight of the visit? “The football facility was amazing!”

What is your impression of Florida after the visit? “Florida plays in the SEC and has great facilities as well as education. “

Do you know of any programs that will get a visit from you over the summer? “I will be visiting some schools in the summer but haven’t put my schedule together yet.”

Do you have any plans to make it back to Florida? “It would be great to get back to see more, meet the coaches, and players, and see the area.”

Do you have a leaderboard or any leaders at this point? “It’s still early but I’m building some really good relationships with schools.”

What will be the most important factor in your college decision? “When it’s time to make my decision the fit will be really important as a player and student, as well as development and relationships.”

It is still early, but which schools do you feel like you have started to build the best relationship with? “I’d say the schools that have been building that relationship the most so far are USC, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Arkansas, Tennessee, Washington, Miami, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and UCLA.”

Mikhail is the No. 51 ranked prospect in the nation according to On3.
