Though he is ranked on the lower end of three-star status, Baltimore (M.D.) Flowers offensive tackle Mike Williams is building an impressive offer list.

The 6-foot-5, 310-pounder had offers from the likes of Miami, South Carolina, and Southern Cal even before Florida joined the fray on Friday afternoon.

QUICK Q&A

Did you have a favorite college team, or player, growing up? “My favorite college team growing up was Oregon. I was a fan of Marcus Mariota and their jerseys were always slick.”

How did the Florida offer come about? “Coach [Rob] Sale called me and talked about how he liked my film and other qualities I have as a football player. So they decided to extend the offer.”

What did the Florida offer mean to you? “I was in shock to receive my third SEC offer, and it was from the Florida Gators.”

Florida is unique in that they have two offensive line coaches, what does that mean to a lineman? “Honestly, that means the world, because you’re going to be well coached. Having two offensive line coaches instead of one dealing with that many in the offensive lineman room is great because it means they have more time to specifically work on you.”

You have some impressive early offers, but is there one or two that really caught your attention? A ‘wow’ moment? “Yes, I would say my ‘wow’ moment offers have been Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, Miami, Michigan State, and Virginia Tech.”

What are some of the college campus visits that were your favorites? “Tennessee and Michigan State.”

What are some late spring and summer visits you have coming up? “Some schools I will be visiting are Alabama and Florida so far.”

Do you have a leader or leaders or do you know of a couple of programs that will be there until the end? “There is no leaderboard. Some schools that I know will be there [until the end] are Michigan State and V-Tech.”

When you make your decision what will be important to you? “What school feels like home and do they treat me like family.”

Williams is the No. 1,183 ranked prospect in the nation according to the On3 Consensus.
